The beautiful Audarya Award at the lotus feet of Param Pujapad Srila Bhakti Pramode Goswami Maharaja.

Varaha Maharaj also recomended the prolific translator Bhumi Pati Das as another recipient of the Audarya Award in connection with transcendental book publications, since Bhumi pati has translated an incredible ammount of books from bengali.

Baktisiddhanta Das was the creative Director of the ISKCON Delhi Museum. His contribution to conscious art and making Murtis is well known. He is also the coordinator of the Vaisnava Art Committee of the WVA. For more than 35 years he was dedicated in Vrindavan to his artistic work and the daily seva to Radha Syama Sundar.

Braj Foundation is dedicated to the all round development of Braj, their efforts, which began with restoration of ‘kund’s, have now spread to the revival of ‘sacred’ groves or ‘van’s, regeneration of around 18000 acres of hilly terrain or ‘Parvat’s into lush-green pasture lands, and resurrection of River Yamuna. Simultaneously, the Foundation is making several interventions in areas like organic farming, dairy industry, rural education, employment etc. towards the realization of its broader mandate; to reinstate Braj as an ideal rural society.

KURMA RUPA DASA - Cow protection "Care for Cows"

Care for Cows is a very special cow´s protection program at Vrindavan leading by Kurma Rupa Dasa. They are providing food, shelter and care for the abandoned cows in Krishna’s holy land.

Care for Cows Inc. maintains abandoned cows, bulls, retired oxen, and orphaned calves. They are international volunteers who offer their talents and resources to tend to the neglected cows living in Krishna's holy land Vrindavana.

They provide stray cows hay, flour, fresh grass, medical attention and a place where they can recuperate from injuries. At present we host a herd of four hundred.

There are approximately three to four hundred abandoned cows in Vrindavan requiring accommodation.

Unless they are protected they are destined to subsist on refuse and become plagued by various debilitating and often terminal diseases or suffer injury from careless motorists.

However, the most immediate danger is that they become abducted for slaughter by cattle rustlers who are active in this area today.

"Little Krishna" is the last and wonderful production by Akshaya Patra and Big Animation Studios.

Synopsis of the movie:

The 13 episodes of "Little Krishna" is a result of seven years of painstaking research work, handpicked from the chronicles of Krishna, the most remarkable stories of the legendary prankstar in the Indian heritage. The episodes are narrated in a manner, engrossing enough to mesmerize the audience world over, and leave them spell-bound.

Little Krishna is the darling of Vrindavan, the land of peace and tranquility, which is constantly threatened by the malice of evil king Kamsa.

While Krishna is busy with his endless pranks and mischiefs accompanied by his friends, Kamsa remains restless for he is aware that Krishna is his nemesis.

As in the past, a prophecy had threatened Kamsa that his evil reign is over, and a savior will descend on earth to make Kamsa meet his worst adversity in life, which is his death. The only objective of Kamsa's life therefore, was to find his angel of death.

Congratulations to Madhu Pandit Dasa, chairman of the Akshaya Patra Foundation, and his team for this beatiful production.

Chanchalapati Dasa, Vice Chairman of Akshaya Patra, received the distinguished Audarya Award in the ‘Best animated movie’ category on December 2010 at Akshaya Patra Vrindavan center.

The Goura Nitay trophy was given by Sripad Priyananda Bon Maharaj representative of the Visva Vaishnava Raj Sabha (World Vaisnava Association) with the presence of various local leaders and members of the sabha.

IMLITALA SIDDHAPEETH - Beautiful decoration and art

Imlitala Mandir is the place where Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu personally sat under the tamarind tree and where he had originally manifested.

Siddha Pith Imlitala is the most sacred place in Vrindavan.

This temple was taken over by Srila Bhakti Saranga Goswami Maharaj after his Guru Srila Prabhupada bhaktisiddhanta sarasvati thakur told him in a dream that he was living in this place eternally.

It was here where the first deity of Srila Prabhupada was installed:

SANDIPANI MUNI SCHOOL - Education for the poorest of the poor

Sandipani Muni School provide free education for poor children in Lord Krishna’s birthplace of Vrindavana, India.

Run by charity organization Food For Life Vrindavana (FFLV), provide free education, uniforms, books, stationary, healthy meals and medical care for more than 1,300 students over two campuses through FFLV’s Gift of Hope sponsorship program.

With an auspicious ceremony, Sripad Rupa Raghunath Prabhu, the visionary director of the project, received the distinguished Audarya Award in the ‘Educational project’ category on December 2010 at Sandipani Muni School Vrindavan center.

The Award was given by Sripad Priyananda Bon Maharaj and Sripad B.A. Paramadvaiti Maharaj, both representatives of the Vishva Vaishnava Raj Sabha (World Vaisnava Association) with the presence of various local leaders, members of the sabha and students.

WVA-Audarya Award to Srimati Shyamarani Dasi for her paintings, called “Windows to the Spiritual World”

After graduating from Music and Art High School in 1964, Syamarani dasi became a student at New York City College, majoring in art and history. In 1966, at the age of 19, she met her spiritual master: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acarya of ISKCON.

Since 1966 she has painted over 200 paintings for Srila Prabhupada’s temples and books.

In 1967 Srila Prabhupada made her the first art director in his ISKCON institution. and said, "I have taught her how to paint – by chanting 'Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.’"

He also said, "In the beginning she could not paint, but by following the process of sravanam kirtanam visnu (hearing and chanting the glories of Lord Sri Krsna) the talent has come out." He once announced to his disciples, "These paintings are windows to the spiritual world. They will be like the rain after the drought of mundane art, and everyone will be attracted."

From the beginning, the plan of the awards was an item of the projects of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada as a part of his efforts to revive the Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha of Srila Jiva Goswami.
